Getting the Right Fit.

Struggling to get the best fit? Here are some top tips to help:

For your nappy to perform at its best, it is really important to get the right fit on your child.

Tickle Tots nappies are a birth to potty nappy designed to fit babies from approx. 9-35 lb, with three rows of poppers on the front of the nappy to adjust the rise. Our nappies sit lower on the hips than some brands, but this does not affect their performance.

Unlike disposable nappies, cloth nappies need to fit snugly around the legs at the knicker line, but should not be too tight as this can also cause leaks, and can cause rubbing of the skin. Use the hook and loop tabs around the waist to get a good fit that doesn't have too much gaping at the front - there should be no more than two fingers width between the top of the nappy and baby's tummy.

The top of the nappy should reach two inches below the belly button at the front, and just over an inch above the top of baby's bottom at the back. If your nappy has been working for several weeks and then suddenly started leaking, try undoing a row of poppers to lengthen the rise - your baby may have had a growth spurt without you realising!

Sophia designed Tickle Tots nappies to fit her own tall, slim, babies as she struggled to find a nappy that would fit, and be as easy to use whilst being as reliable as a disposable.
